One step forward

Happy Holidays and a Blessed and Merry Christmas to all!

After a good couple months of planning and collaboration, our hats go off to the organizing committee who painstakingly took time out of their schedules to make everything possible for the Christmas Party to be such a success.
A shoutout also goes to Sir John Jalandoni, who, though sadly has left Singapore, had a huge hand in the planning of the entire event together with us.

Tonight's main purpose aside from the annual Yuletide gathering was also to officially re-launching the SUAA(SG) as an active organization within the Filipino community in Singapore as we have been quite dormant for a couple of years.
With Vice Consul Jed Llona gracing the proceedings, representing the Embassy, the baton was passed and the objective was met, as candidates were nominated and votes were cast to elect a new batch of officers.

The elected officers are:

President: Robert Sardual
Vice President: Dexter Evangelio
Secretary: Lheny Enad
Treasurer: Tina Zaldivar
Auditor: Kristine Laurente.

Overall, everybody enjoyed themselves, the catered food was well received, especially the crispy pata, though the caterers forgot to provide us with containers to pack food to bring home, instead we had to scamper about looking for plastic bags to stuff as much barbecued pork belly, wings and ribs as we could while there was still any left! And who can keep their hands off the homemade pandesal!

Finally, congratulations to the organizing committee and everybody who helped out in each and every way for making tonight a successful one!

And to our new President, Mister Robert Sardual and his team of officers, a successful and wonderful journey awaits us all!

Will post more updates as soon as I get word of any upcoming activity.

Cheers!

Jon
